Fried Spare Ribs with Spiced Salt



  • spare rbis 15 oz

  • spring onion(diced) 1 stalk

  • mashed ginger 1 tbsp.

  • mashed garlic 1 tbsp.


  • light soy 1 tbsp.

  • sugar 1/2 tsp.

  • pepper pinch

  • whisked egg 1/2 tbsp.

Ingredients for spiced salt mixing

  • salt 1/2 tbsp.

  • xanthoxylon seeds 1 tsp.


  1. Rinse spare ribs and drain. Marinate with seasonings for about 20 minutes.

  2. Mix marinated spare ribs with 1 1/2 tbsp cornflour. Heat oil intensively and deep fry spare ribs for about 5 minutes. Then turn to low heat and soak until spareribs turn golden brown. Dish up and drain.

  3. Saute a dash of sesame oil, 1/2 tsp sugar, diced onion, mashed ginger, mashed garlic. Put in fried spare ribs, stir well. Dish up and serve with spiced salt.
